Aloe Vera(Latin for True Aloe)  in fact  is one of the Oldest Known Therapeutic Herbs and has been known to mankind for centuries…..The Aloe vera plant  is  a miracle plant  known for rejuvenating the skin, stimulating collagen production and moisturizing and hydrating the skin, and has proven anti-microbial properties ,and anti inflammatory properties against  fungi and bacteria. A famous papyrus discovered in Thebes in 1858, which dates to the reign of the Pharaoh Amen-Hotep in 1552 BC, lists the use of aloe both in drugs and cosmetics, demonstrating the use of aloe vera over the preceding 2000 years.Even as early as the 4th century B.C., Alexander the Great used Aloe Vera to treat his wounded soldiers, long long before antibiotics were discovered

In his 1st century A.D “Greek Herbal,” physician Pedanius Dioscorides has inferred  that aloe induces sleep and cleanses the stomach, heals tonsillitis and relieves diseases of the mouth; and when used topically aloe relieves boils, bruises, hemorrhoids, wounds, dry itchy skin , heals burns, stops hair loss, and soothes the eyes.

Aloe is also mentioned in the Bible several times and was employed as an embalming ingredient. In the 10th century Aloe’s uses were described by Arab physicians, and aloe was introduced to Europe and listed in Anglo Saxon medical texts.Records from the 17th century show that Britain’s East India Company purchased and traded aloe from Socotra and Zanzibar.

By the 18th century large amounts of Aloe were being imported to be made into medicines.Today there are over two hundred scientific research papers outlining the therapeutic benefits of aloe vera juice and gel.The health benefits of aloevera has thus  been propogated all over the world for centuries…….

Aloe vera looks like a cactus, but actually belongs to the lily family which includes garlic and onion.Although aloe is ninety-nine percent water, it also has more than 200 active nutrients and elements that support good health.
